Una maglietta per i semi: così germinano anche dove non piove

Rivestimento per semi con amido, cellulosa e cenere di legno. Risultato: piantine due volte più alte e zero plastica nei campi.

Gianluca Riccio

A macro close-up photograph of a single sugar beet seed coated in a thin, translucent biodegradable hydrogel film, resting on dry, cracked earth. The seed glows faintly with moisture trapped inside its delicate coating, like a tiny water reservoir. Tiny water droplets are visible on the surface of the coating. In the soft-focus background, a small seedling sprout emerges from parched, arid soil under warm, diffused natural light. The color palette is earthy — ochre, brown, and muted green — with a subtle sheen on the seed's coating suggesting its gel-like, sponge-like quality. The mood is scientific yet hopeful, editorial photography style with shallow depth of field and natural lighting.
