USA, il boom degli infermieri virtuali negli ospedali

Gli ospedali USA hanno carenza di infermieri, e ne assumono di virtuali dalle Filippine per 5-10 dollari l'ora. A Manila, intanto, ne mancano sempre di più.

Gianluca Riccio

A Filipino nurse working at night from a modest home office in Manila, illuminated by the blue glow of multiple computer monitors displaying patient vital signs, electronic health records, and video feeds of hospital rooms. The scene shows a professional woman in her 30s wearing a headset, intently watching blood pressure readings and ICU monitoring dashboards on her screens. Through the window behind her, the nighttime skyline of a tropical city is visible, while on her screens the sterile environment of an American hospital ward is reflected. The visual contrast between the warm, humble domestic setting and the clinical, high-tech American hospital imagery on the monitors creates a sense of geographic and economic distance. Soft dramatic lighting, photorealistic editorial photography style, cinematic composition emphasizing the duality of global healthcare outsourcing.
