Città perdute in Amazzonia: trovata la civiltà che cercava Fawcett

Il lidar svela in Bolivia le città perdute della cultura Casarabe: piramidi, canali e una fine misteriosa prima di Colombo.

Gianluca Riccio

A drone equipped with LiDAR technology flies low over a dense, misty Amazon rainforest at golden hour, emitting faint laser pulses downward through the thick jungle canopy. Below, partially visible through the trees as a ghostly digital overlay, the geometric outlines of an ancient lost civilization slowly emerge from the earth — raised platforms, conical pyramids, straight elevated roads, and interconnected canals stretching across a vast floodplain in the Bolivian Amazon. The atmosphere is cinematic and mysterious, blending lush tropical green with the cool blue-white glow of laser mapping data. In the far background, a wide river winds through the landscape. The overall mood is one of discovery and quiet awe — a modern machine unveiling a thousand-year-old world hidden beneath the jungle floor.
