Nel Sistema Solare c’era un pianeta perduto grande come Marte

C'era un mondo grande quasi come Marte, poi è sparito. Lo sappiamo solo perché qualche scheggia è caduta sulla Terra.

Gianluca Riccio

A dramatic deep-space scene depicting the ancient early Solar System, approximately 4.5 billion years ago, between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Massive continent-sized rocky bodies collide and shatter in a chaotic asteroid belt, with one large proto-planet — roughly the size of the Moon or Mars — cracking apart in a catastrophic collision. The doomed planet shows a visible molten iron core and a pressurized magma mantle exposed through fractures in its crust, glowing orange and red from within. Fragments scatter across the dark void in all directions. In the foreground, a small reddish-brown meteorite fragment floats in space, with a faint greenish olivine crystal visible inside it. The background features a young, slightly brighter Sun, distant Jupiter as a pale orb, and a dense swarm of rocky debris. The lighting is dramatic and cinematic, rendered in a photorealistic space illustration style with deep blacks, glowing molten tones, and cold blue-grey rock surfaces.
